Group Therapy

Who is this for?

Group therapy programs are for children, adolescents, parents, and caregivers who benefit from learning and practicing skills in a shared, supportive environment. These groups are useful when connection, skills development, peer learning, and relational growth are part of the therapeutic journey.

Group programs at Bharaari are offered periodically in response to developmental needs, clinical readiness, and community interest.

Groups are carefully designed, facilitated, and paced to support emotional regulation, relational safety, and meaningful change.

What brings people to this work?

People seek group programs when:

  • they want practical strategies for emotional regulation and behaviour

  • they benefit from peer support and shared learning

  • one-on-one therapy feels limited for the type of change needed

  • they are caregivers wanting relationship-based parenting support

  • structured frameworks help with skills-building and reflection

Group work isn’t just “education.” It is therapeutic learning that happens through interaction, reflection, and intentional support.

Some group programs are:

  • Attachment-focused parenting groups

  • Emotional regulation and relational skills groups

  • Behavioural and social skills–oriented groups

Facilitation is collegial, respectful, and paced for learning and integration.

I pay my respects to the rich cultural, spiritual, and ancestral traditions of India, and to the collective strength and interconnected ways of being that continue to shape and sustain its communities. I honour the values, wisdom, and knowledge systems carried across generations, along with the enduring legacies, voices, stories, and heroes who continue to shape its identity and redefine its spirit.

I further acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which I lived, studied, and worked in Australia, and pay my respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. I remain deeply grateful for the education, opportunities, and guidance received there, which continue to shape my professional and ethical practice.
