Cancellation & Appointment Policy

At Bharaari, we are committed to providing timely, ethical, and well-structured mental health care. This policy outlines our procedures for booking, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments to ensure clarity, fairness, and mutual respect between clients and clinicians.

Appointment Booking Process

• All therapy sessions and parent consultations are booked on a per-session basis.
• Each session is confirmed individually. Session packages or bulk bookings are not offered, except for group therapy programs.
• Pre-payment is required to confirm an appointment. Payment details will be shared during the booking process.
• Appointments are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and are reserved exclusively for you once payment is received.

Rescheduling a Session

• Requests to reschedule must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
• Each session may be rescheduled once without penalty, subject to therapist availability.
• Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the scheduled session may be considered a cancellation and may incur charges or result in forfeiture of the session.
• We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling within the same week, depending on clinician availability.

Cancellations

• Cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
• Cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice are eligible for a full refund or credit toward a future session.
• Late cancellations (within 24 hours) and no-shows are non-refundable, as the reserved time cannot be reassigned at short notice.
• For psychological assessments, cancellations after the first session or commencement of testing are not eligible for refunds due to prior planning and clinician time involved.

Delays and Late Arrivals

• Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may result in a shortened session or be recorded as a no-show, depending on the clinical schedule.
• In exceptional circumstances (such as medical or family emergencies), please contact us directly. We aim to balance professional structure with compassion and understanding.

Our Intention

This policy supports ethical, efficient service delivery while respecting the time, energy, and commitment of both clients and clinicians. It allows us to maintain consistency and deliver high-quality care without disruption.

I pay my respects to the rich cultural, spiritual, and ancestral traditions of India, and to the collective strength and interconnected ways of being that continue to shape and sustain its communities. I honour the values, wisdom, and knowledge systems carried across generations, along with the enduring legacies, voices, stories, and heroes who continue to shape its identity and redefine its spirit.

I further acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which I lived, studied, and worked in Australia, and pay my respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. I remain deeply grateful for the education, opportunities, and guidance received there, which continue to shape my professional and ethical practice.
